Description:
Volunteer Refresher Training for the Western Monarch Thanksgiving Count. This training is for volunteers in Northern California (Mendocino, Sonoma, Marin, Contra Costa, Solano, San Francisco, Alameda, San Mateo, Santa Cruz,and Monterey Counties).
The refresher training will include the following:
-Overview of the count protocol and data collection and submission process (new data collection and submission process this year using the Survey 123 app !!)
-Brief history of the count
-Overview of the status of the Western Monarch population
-Importance of the count with updates on research using Thanksgiving and New Year’s count data
-Updates from Regional Coordinators
-Question and Answer session
