Welcome back to the WMC! We’re thrilled you’re joining us for another season of overwintering monarch surveys. We truly couldn’t do this work without you.
This virtual presentation is geared for returning WMC volunteers, those with at least one season already under their belts. We’ll cover new project updates (if applicable), and specific guidance for the upcoming season. For example, a “Super” El NiƱo is predicted this fall through winter and we have some important safety tips to share with you. National weather agencies predict it will peak between November 2026 and January 2027, overlapping with our planned monitoring periods. There will be time for discussion and Q&A at the end.
*NOTE: This webinar is being recorded for training and educational purposes and may be made available to the general public through our media and education channels. Your microphones and cameras are disabled; if you have questions, please enter them into the Q&A box and they will be answered during the Question and Answer period. The text of the questions submitted will not be included in the webinar recording.
