In-Field Training — Pacific Grove, Monterey, CA

Join the science! The Western Monarch Count is a community science program that tracks the population of monarch butterflies in California. This is the field portion of a two-part training. The first part is a virtual lecture on Tuesday October 10, 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm, led by scientists from the Xerces Society of Invertebrate Conservation. This one — part 2 — is an in-person field practice at the Monarch Sanctuary, led by the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History’s Community Science Coordinator, Natalie Johnston.
