“Butterfly Town: Trying to find the missing monarchs” – Monterey Herald

The Monterey Herald published an article about the search for monarchs at Pacific Grove Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary. “PACIFIC GROVE — There is a scarcity of brilliant orange wings in Butterfly Town, USA.

The Thanksgiving Western Monarch Count has begun, but at the Pacific Grove Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary, no monarch butterflies have officially been sighted. Although the Thanksgiving count officially started Nov. 14, counters have been looking for the iconic insects at the Sanctuary every week since mid-October.
